These terms govern your purchase and use of Remember Live software.
1. Who we are
Remember Live software is made by Remember Live Trading and Projects (Pty) Ltd (“Remember Live”, “we”, “us”), a company registered in South Africa under registration number 2024/261994/07, trading as Remember Live. Our products include ShowSync, ShowSave, and ShowMode (macOS apps). In these terms, “our products” or “the software” means any Remember Live application together with its updates and documentation. These terms apply to all Remember Live products unless a specific product states otherwise.
2. Agreement
By purchasing, downloading, or using our products, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the software.
3. Orders and our reseller
Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com.
Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record for all our orders. Paddle provides all customer service inquiries and handles returns.
When you buy our software, the purchase contract for that transaction is with Paddle as the authorised reseller and seller of record. Paddle owns and manages the transaction — including payment, billing, invoicing, applicable taxes, and refunds. Remember Live licenses the software to you and provides product support; Paddle sells and resells it. You can reach support at support@rememberlive.africa or Paddle’s order support at paddle.net.
4. Your licence to use our software
Subject to these terms and payment of the applicable fee, Remember Live grants you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to install and use the product you purchased. The specific licence terms for each product — such as price, editions, and the number of devices — are shown at the point of purchase. For example:
- ShowSync’s paid “full” mode is sold as a one-time purchase, not a subscription, and may be used on up to two machines (a main and a backup) for the same user or organisation.
- Some products offer a free edition or a free trial so you can evaluate them before buying — for example, ShowSync includes a free Backup-only edition and a free trial.
Each licence is for your own use. You may not resell, sublicense, rent, or redistribute our software or licence keys.
5. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- copy, modify, reverse-engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code of our software, except to the extent the law expressly permits;
- circumvent or tamper with licensing, activation, or security features;
- use our products unlawfully or in a way that infringes others’ rights.
6. Intellectual property
Our products, the Remember Live name and logo, and all related intellectual property are owned by Remember Live and its licensors. These terms grant you a licence to use the software; they do not transfer any ownership to you.
7. Support and refunds
We provide product support at support@rememberlive.africa. Because Paddle is the Merchant of Record, refunds are issued by Paddle. See our Refund Policy for how to request one.
8. Warranties and disclaimers
Our software is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. While we work hard to make it reliable, we do not warrant that it will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that it will fit every particular setup. You remain responsible for maintaining your own backups and for testing our software in your environment.
9. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Remember Live will not be liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential losses, or for loss of data, profit, or production arising from your use of (or inability to use) our products. Nothing in these terms limits any liability that cannot be limited under applicable law.
10. Your consumer rights
If you are a consumer, you keep all statutory rights you have under the South African Consumer Protection Act, 2008 (CPA) and other applicable law. Nothing in these terms removes or reduces rights that cannot be excluded.
11. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. The current version will always be posted here with the “last updated” date. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated terms.
12. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of South Africa, and the South African courts have jurisdiction, without affecting any mandatory consumer protections available to you.
